What it does
Built around a few things done well.
- Import a CV as a PDF, Word file or text, and check what was found before it joins your profile. Scanned pages are read on your device.
- Guided questions bring out the achievements a CV leaves out, and duplicates or clashing dates are flagged for you to check.
- Save the jobs you're interested in, track each application and compare a role's requirements with your real experience.
- Tailored CVs are built only from facts you've confirmed. Edit, reorder, hide or lock sections, and regenerate without losing what you locked.
- Export polished A4 PDFs with selectable text in three templates, with a clear warning if a CV runs past its page limit.
- Works offline on iPhone and iPad. An account, private cloud backups and AI help are all optional, and AI is only used with your consent.
Shortlist is a career workspace for iPhone and iPad, built on one idea: your career is bigger than your CV. Build a profile of your roles, achievements, skills and education once, then choose the right evidence for each opportunity.
Start with what you have. Import a CV as a PDF, Word document or text, keep the original, and review what Shortlist found before anything is confirmed. Scanned PDFs are read on your device. Guided questions help bring out the detail a CV often leaves out, and Shortlist flags duplicates and conflicting dates for you to check.
Save the jobs you're interested in, track each application and compare a role's requirements with your experience. When you're ready, Shortlist builds a tailored CV from confirmed facts only, never from unchecked suggestions. Edit, reorder, hide or lock any section, regenerate without losing what you locked, and export a polished A4 PDF in one of three templates.
Your career information stays on your device and works offline. An account, private cloud backups and AI help are all optional, and AI is only used once you agree to it. A fictional sample workspace lets you look around before adding anything of your own.
