What it does
Built around a few things done well.
- Live GPS tracking with splits, auto-pause and voice coaching, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- Structured sessions with step-by-step cues: intervals, tempo, progression and pyramid, also sent to Apple Watch.
- Race a ghost of your best or last effort, with a live lead and voice updates at every split.
- An on-device coach that reviews each workout and suggests your next session, powered by Apple Intelligence.
- Weekly goals, streaks, personal records, race predictions and 18 achievements to unlock.
- An Apple Watch app with GPS, heart rate and ghost races, plus Apple Health, iCloud sync, widgets and Siri.
GymMate records your runs, rides, walks and hikes with GPS, coaches you while you move and shows how far you've come. GymMate 2 is rebuilt from the ground up for iPhone and Apple Watch.
Start a workout from the app, a widget, Siri or the Action button. Follow your route on the map, hear your splits, and see time, distance, pace and heart rate on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, where you can pause without unlocking.
Follow a structured session (intervals, tempo, a progression run or a pyramid) with a banner and voice cues for every step, or send it to the Workout app on Apple Watch. Race a ghost of your best or your last effort and hear whether you're ahead or behind at every split.
After each workout, the on-device coach sums it up and suggests your next session, written privately on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence. Weekly goals, streaks, personal records, race predictions and achievements keep you going.
Heart rate and zones come from Apple Watch, AirPods or a Bluetooth chest strap. Workouts and routes save to Apple Health, sync through your own iCloud, and record the weather and where you went. The GymMate Watch app has its own GPS, heart rate, sessions and ghost races.
