What the app does
CookAgain turns the recipe cards you love into a personal cookbook you will use again.
- Photograph the front and back of a recipe card, or import photos you already have, and let AI organise the ingredients, quantities and steps
- Review every draft against the original card before it joins your cookbook, or write recipes yourself
- Search, favourites, collections, notes and ratings
- Cooking mode with step timers, extra timers and read-aloud instructions
- One shopping list built from the recipes and portions you choose
- A native iPad layout, offline access to saved recipes, and Sign in with Apple to keep your library with your account
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. CookAgain works as a guest on the device you are using. Sign in with Apple, under Settings, is optional: it links your library to your Apple account so you can restore it on a new iPhone or iPad.
How does scanning work?
Choose the pages of a card, tap Read & review, and the app uploads those pages and returns an editable draft. Scanning needs an internet connection. If the cloud scan fails, the app offers to try on-device recognition instead; Apple Intelligence features need a supported device. Always check quantities, allergens and instructions against the original card.
Why has an import been refused?
AI imports are limited. Free accounts include one AI import and can keep up to five recipes in the cloud library; CookAgain Pro adds 30 AI imports each calendar month and unlimited cloud recipes. The app shows your remaining allowance. Recipes you already saved stay available whatever your plan.
The imported recipe has mistakes
Every import opens in a review screen next to the original card. Edit any ingredient, quantity or step before saving, and come back to edit at any time. The original photo stays with the recipe.
A timer didn't ring
Timers use local notifications. Allow notifications for CookAgain in the iOS Settings app and check that the device is not in a Focus mode that silences it. Timers keep their deadlines even if the app is closed.
How do I back up or move to a new device?
Sign in with Apple and your cloud library follows you. You can also export a JSON backup from Settings; it includes your card images, so share it only with people you trust. Importing a backup creates fresh copies and never overwrites existing recipes.
CookAgain Pro
Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly through the App Store. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and you can manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. Use Restore purchases in the app after reinstalling or changing device. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings in the app and choose delete account. This removes everything stored under your account in the cloud. You can also email us and we will delete it for you.
