Poppy’s World – Support
Get in touch
A grown-up can email support@digitalhopeltd.com with questions, problems or suggestions. Please include the app version, iPhone or iPad model, iOS or iPadOS version, and what happened. Avoid sending a child’s name, private journal writing or other unnecessary personal information. Check screenshots before attaching them.

A world to enjoy together
Poppy’s World is a story and nature-activity companion for families to enjoy together. It includes:
- 18 original six-page stories in Little Wonders, Growing Together, and Cosy & Calm.
- 36 guided activities for exploring, making, imagining, playing and resting.
- Five illustrated places, 20 nature guide cards and six adventure trails.
- 12 Explorer Club badges earned through linked stories, activities and discoveries.
- A journal for little memories, plus four original instrumental soundscapes.
Stories, illustrations, activities and music are included in the app and work offline. Outdoor activities should be supervised. Follow the practical guidance in each activity and choose an indoor alternative when needed.
Finding family settings
Tap the sliders at the top-right of the app, labelled Grown-ups and settings. Enter the answer to the multiplication question shown, then tap Open settings. The question changes when you reopen the screen. Family settings include sound controls, optional iCloud, privacy information and export.
Reading and listening
Open Stories, choose a story and tap Read aloud. Read-aloud uses an English voice installed on your device. Extra voices are managed in Apple’s accessibility settings. Reading options lets you change the pace and enlarge the story text. Text also follows the device’s accessibility text-size setting.
Each page is read separately so you can choose when to turn it. Turning the page, leaving the reader or locking the device stops narration. If sound is turned off, a grown-up can enable Allow music and narration in family settings. The app uses device voices; it does not include a choice of recorded professional narrators.
To play music, open Stories → A moment of calm. Music and the quiet timer work while the listening screen is open and the app is active. Music stops when you leave that screen or lock the device; this is intended behaviour.
Badges, trails and nature cards
Open Explorer Club from Home or Play to choose a badge. Each badge has three linked tasks, and anything you have already completed counts. Trails bring related stories, activities and discoveries together. There are no deadlines or daily streaks.
Open My nature guide to read a card and add it to your collection. You do not need to find, touch or collect the real thing. Activity checklists record what you have tried together. The app does not use your location, camera or microphone to check participation.
Saving and optional iCloud
Progress and journal entries save on your device by default. To continue across devices, a grown-up can turn on Keep memories across devices in family settings on each device. They need the same Apple Account and an available iCloud service.
The settings screen shows the current status and offers Check iCloud when sync is enabled. A queued update is not a guarantee that another device has received it yet. Local stories, activities and music still work when iCloud is unavailable. Very large journals may remain local; the app explains when its sync limit is reached.
Turning sync off stops new app sync requests but does not erase existing iCloud copies; updates already handed to iCloud may still arrive. See the privacy policy for deletion and backup details.
Your journal and saved copy
In Journal, choose Keep a little memory, add a title and note, then tap Keep this memory. Open an entry to edit it. Delete this memory asks for confirmation and removes the entry from your saved journal; deletion is passed to other devices when sync is available.
A grown-up can choose Prepare a copy in settings, then Share saved copy. The exported JSON file contains journal entries and progress. It may include a child’s writing, so choose the destination carefully. Nothing is shared automatically. This version has no file-import function, and deleting an entry does not delete copies you have exported.
If an adventure cannot be saved
Check available device storage and reopen the app. If an existing save cannot be read, the app preserves it rather than replacing it with an empty adventure. Do not delete the app to troubleshoot if you need its current memories. Preserve a copy when export is available and contact support.
Purchases and requirements
Poppy’s World is a one-time App Store purchase, with no subscription or in-app purchases. Apple handles payment and displays the price for your country or region. Purchase and refund help is available through Apple.
The app runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. No app account is needed. Optional iCloud and downloading additional device voices require Apple’s services and an internet connection.
